Taiwan’s mobile phone market, which had maintained sales of 400,000 units for two consecutive months, fell below this threshold in March. According to the latest statistics from market research agencies, mobile phone sales in Taiwan in March 2024 were 378,000 units, a decrease of 24,000 units from February, but an increase of 21,000 units compared with the same period last year. Although Apple still maintains its leadership position in terms of sales and sales, it has continued to show a downward trend since November last year.

The rankings of the top five brands in Taiwan’s mobile phone sales market share in March remained unchanged, namely Apple (36%), Samsung (27.5%), OPPO (13.2%), vivo (7.2%) and Redmi (6.5%). Except for Apple’s continued decline, other non-Apple mobile phone brands have seen significant growth compared with February.

Brands ranked 6th to 10th have seen larger changes, namely Google (2%), realme (1.6%), ASUS (1.3%), Sony (1.1%) and POCO (0.8%). It is worth noting that Google surpassed realme, and Asus entered the top 10 after the launch of the new ASUS Zenfone 11 Ultra, also pushing out its own ROG brand.

In addition, Xiaomi, HTC, and ROG, which are not ranked in the top 10, ranked 11th, 12th, and 13th respectively. Although Xiaomi did not enter the top 10, if Xiaomi’s brands such as Xiaomi, Redmi, and POCO are considered, its sales market share will reach 8.1%, surpassing vivo’s 7.2%, making Xiaomi the fourth largest mobile phone brand in Taiwan.

The top 10 brands in terms of mobile phone sales market share in Taiwan in March were Apple (57.8%), Samsung (23.4%), OPPO (6%), vivo (3.5%), Google (2%), and Redmi (1.7%). , ASUS (1.2%), Sony (1.1%), ROG (0.9%), Xiaomi (0.9%).

Changes in sales volume also had a clear impact on sales. Since the iPhone 15 was launched last year, Apple’s sales market share has fallen below 60% for the first time; compared with Apple’s decline, the non-Apple camp has generally grown compared with February.
