On the morning of April 24, at the press conference of the Shenzhou 18 manned mission held at the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center, a spokesperson introduced that the Shenzhou 18 will carry out uplink experimental devices and related samples, and will implement the country’s first on-orbit aquatic ecology test. The research project uses zebrafish and hornwort as research objects to establish a stably operating space self-circulating aquatic ecosystem in orbit and achieve China’s breakthrough in cultivating vertebrates in space.
