The San Francisco Museum of Modern Art (SFMOMA) welcomes residents from nine Bay Area counties to our First Thursday event. On the first Thursday of each month, from 1pm to 8pm, you can enter for free to view the museum’s vibrant and inspiring art.

*2024 Taiwan Food and Cooking Lecture Tour

This quarter’s “Gourmet Cooking Lectures” at Jinshan Bay District’s “Mother Classroom” will begin soon. Non-members from the overseas Chinese community are welcome to sign up, and everyone who loves Taiwanese traditional cuisine is welcome to sign up!

This lecture will present classic Taiwanese dishes, including oyster omelette, Taiwan Osmanthus Crab, old wine crystal frozen shrimp, five-flavor soft silk, nostalgic fresh fish with five willow branches, garlic red meat soup, Hakka five-spice salted pork, and sesame oil chicken. Nine delicacies including rice and fragrant brown sugar bean curd.

In addition, the class will be interspersed with various cooking secrets taught by masters. The Overseas Chinese Affairs Commission of the Republic of China also specially hired Li Jiaqi, a famous Taiwanese cooking master, to serve as the speaker, and was assisted by chef Liao Taijun of Zhuangyuanlou Restaurant. This event will bring a unique gourmet feast to overseas Chinese!
