[The Epoch Times, April 25, 2024](Compiled and reported by Epoch Times reporter Ye Jie) The “Deadpool” series is already Marvel’s popular superhero movie, but many people may not know that the Hollywood superstar who plays “Deadpool” Ryan Reynolds worked hard for the first “Deadpool” that was not yet famous, and even paid the screenwriter’s salary out of his own pocket.

The third installment in the “Deadpool” series, “Deadpool and Wolverine,” is the only Marvel movie this year and will be released in theaters this summer. Many people may not know that Ryan Reynolds put in a lot of hard work behind the scenes in the early stages of the production of this series of movies. While one might think that superhero movies had adequate budgets back then (2016), 20th Century Fox producers clearly didn’t have much confidence in the profitability of the first Deadpool, so they tightened the budget.

According to foreign media reports, when making Marvel’s first restricted superhero movie “Deadpool” (Deadpool), the studio decided not to provide co-writers of the series Paul Wernick (Paul Wernick) and Rett… Rhett Reese paid for every day on set; however, Ryan Reynolds wanted them to participate in the writing for the vision of “Deadpool,” so he paid out of his own pocket several times during the process.

It’s It was a core creative team of us, Ryan and director Tim Miller. The funny thing is, Fox didn’t want to pay us, and Ryan Reynolds paid for it out of his own pocket.”

According to reports, Reynolds also spent $10,000 just to have “Deadpool” wear a T-shirt printed with the image of 1980s “Golden Girls” star Bea Arthur. Reynolds’ The effort was undoubtedly a result of passion for the film.

Reynolds talks about why Deadpool fans are excited about more than just the crude humor in the franchise. “I think Deadpool comes at the perfect time because it’s also speaking to that generation and that group of people who love to watch these comic book movies,” Reynolds told GQ.

“I think the movie speaks to them in a way, as if the guy in the red suit is one of them.”

“Deadpool & Wolverine” will be released in Taiwan on July 24 and in the United States on July 26.
