Xi Jinping said that as the most important bilateral relationship in the world, China-US relations should be thought and planned against the backdrop of the accelerating changes in the world over the past century, so as to bring benefits to the people of both countries and demonstrate responsibility for human progress.

Xi Jinping pointed out that over the past 50 years, Sino-US relations have never been smooth sailing.
