Along with the upper body of cotton-padded clothes and down jackets, more than 600 communities in Taiyuan are also wearing “cotton-padded clothes” before the cold winter. More than 180,000 Taiyuan residents enjoy a more comfortable and energy-saving winter home.

[Explanation]The gas company dormitory located in Wanbolin District, Taiyuan City was built in 2000. After more than 20 years of “baptism”, the exterior walls were seriously damaged, the roof leaked, the house had air leaks, and the balcony was full of dust in windy weather.

The two buildings in our community are the coal gasification power plant dormitory and the coal gasification company dormitory. There are a total of 96 residents in the two buildings. Before the genetic reform, residents in our community still had strong reactions. Especially in winter, the indoor temperature was still extremely low.

[Explanation]The energy-saving renovation of the Gas Company dormitory is one of the communities in Taiyuan City’s energy-saving renovation of existing residential buildings (Phase II) PPP project. In order to allow the residents of this community to live a warm and comfortable winter, China Railway No. 12 Bureau entered the building and began renovations in mid-September. The workers worked overtime, day and night, and completed the project at the end of October.

When this project first started, the wires in the community were quite messy, and the entire construction site in the community was relatively small and compact. We also actively coordinated with the property management and the community. On the basis of ensuring the convenience of people’s travel, we actively used this site to complete our project.

In order to enhance the construction quality of our renovation project, we made two centimeters of the first floor, using two layers of fiberglass mesh and one layer of steel wire mesh, and took thickening and strengthening measures to ensure that our first floor will not be affected by the community. Residents’ electric cars bumped into each other. Secondly, we used polystyrene modules at the nodes of the yin and yang corners. In the past, our insulation board had seams at the yin and yang corners, which may cause some air leakage and water leakage. This module is formed in one piece, which effectively avoids quality hazards and enhances the quality of our second-phase construction.

Since the genetic reform was completed, it was so cold the past two days. Even without heating, our house was still hot. It was not cold at all. There is a strong wind outside, and in our house, the curtains in our house were shaking. They were shaking before, but now they are gone. It was very cold when we arrived before. Now even during the two days when the heating was not provided, our house was not cold at all. It has increased by four or five degrees. This is quite warm. We have also insulated the roof.

[Explanation]It is understood that Taiyuan City’s existing residential building energy-saving renovation (Phase II) PPP project has a renovation construction area of ​​10.02 million square meters, distributed in Wucheng District of Taiyuan City, with a total of more than 600 communities and more than 2,300 buildings. It was constructed by the Taiyuan Municipal Housing and Urban-Rural Development Bureau and jointly implemented by three construction units, China Railway 12th Bureau, China Railway 14th Bureau and China Railway 17th Bureau.

The construction years of the renovated communities in our city are generally around 1966 to 2006. After the renovation of our project, the average winter temperature of each household in the old community can be increased by about 3 to 5 degrees, and the indoor temperature in summer can be reduced by about 3 to 5 degrees. The annual coal burning during the heating period is reduced by about 193,500 tons, reducing energy consumption. Reducing carbon emissions helps us achieve our dual carbon goals.
