[The Epoch Times, November 11, 2023](Epoch Times reporter Ma Shangen reported in Los Angeles) The famous human rights lawyer Gao Zhisheng has been missing in China for more than six years. Although the international community continues to search and lawyer Gao’s family has made many inquiries, the CCP has refused to disclose any information. information. Gao Zhisheng’s wife, Geng He, plans to take advantage of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) summit to speak to Xi Jinping: reveal Gao Zhisheng’s whereabouts, release Gao Zhisheng, and give his family an explanation.
At 2 pm on Friday (10th), Geng He joined the first car parade in San Francisco to protest against the CCP and its leader Xi Jinping before the APEC summit. She only hopes that Xi Jinping can give her an answer: tell her, tell the world, where is Gao Zhisheng? Geng He hopes that through this protest, more people and heads of state attending the meeting will understand her demands.
APEC includes 21 economies, whose gross national product (GDP) accounts for 60% of the world’s total, and its trade volume is nearly half of the world’s. Heads of state from the United States, Canada, Japan, South Korea, Australia and other countries will attend the meeting to discuss cooperation and development matters. Among the participating countries, Communist China is the only country that can forcibly disappear its citizens at will.
Geng He hopes that through this meeting, politicians with a sense of justice can put pressure on Xi Jinping and urge the Chinese Communist regime controlled by Xi to abide by the law. She said, if a government is unwilling to abide by the laws it makes, why should the international community believe in any of its promises?
The day before going to San Francisco for a car tour, Geng He rushed to the Liberty Sculpture Park in Southern California. With the help of sculptor Chen Weiming, he printed five portraits of Gao Zhisheng in different colors on the first section of the Lennon Wall. Between the portraits with the bars as the background is a pair of real handcuffs, implying that Gao Zhisheng is behind bars. This section of the Lennon Wall is 6.4 meters long and commemorates the Tiananmen Incident in 1989.
Chen Weiming introduced that Geng He was the first to print Gao Zhisheng’s portrait on the Lennon Wall in Liberty Sculpture Park. He has thought many times: Who should be chosen first? In the end, Geng He was chosen.
Geng He said: “It has been more than six years since 2017. I don’t know whether he is alive or dead. My appeal is that I hope he can call our family.” But for such a simple appeal, she has been waiting for six years. , Lawyer Gao still has no news.
Did Gao Zhisheng break any laws? “No.” Geng He said, “Gao Zhisheng is a legal citizen of China. If you arrest him for violating any laws, you should also try him according to law? As family members, do we also have the right to meet according to law?” He also has the right to a lawyer, right?”
Geng He still sees no hope: in recent years, she has found that China’s political situation has become increasingly severe.
Geng He spoke out during the APEC summit, and China Democratic Party CEO Jie Lijian expressed his strong support. He said that lawyer Gao Zhisheng is a representative of the Chinese legal community and conscience groups and the backbone of the nation. His disappearance is a very serious case of human rights violations by the CCP. “The case of Lawyer Gao Zhisheng is enough to make the world understand the cruelty of the Chinese Communist regime.” He said, “Under this situation, the Chinese Communist Party still goes its own way and does not give the world an answer. It can be said that Xi Jinping is reversing the wheel and stepping on the accelerator to the end. “
Jie Lijian said that in recent years, in order to stabilize power, the leaders of the Chinese Communist Party have implemented cross-border arrests and strict speech control. Even Li Keqiang, the former “number two” figure in the Chinese Communist Party, has died inexplicably, giving people that the CCP is on the path of “turning back from the Cultural Revolution.” “a feeling of. If the international community does not pay attention to Gao Zhisheng’s case and does not condemn the CCP’s actions, it is obvious that the CCP will become even more unscrupulous.
He also hopes that US President Biden can take the opportunity of meeting Xi Jinping to question Gao Zhisheng’s whereabouts through official channels. “This is the responsibility of the US government.”
