The residents of Ridgewood, located in Pajama Permai Gardens, unanimously adhere to the vision of green living and jointly created a leisure park covering an area of more than 3 acres in the area.
Qiu Nongshan, vice chairman of the 3rd Ridgewood Residents Association, told China News that the residents’ association was formed by residents in 2016. Subsequently, everyone pooled their efforts and paid their own money to beautify the environment of the residential area, including converting more than 3 acres of land. An open space was gradually transformed into a beautiful leisure park.

She pointed out that the recreational park also offers barbecue grills, a running track, an outdoor fitness area and a children’s playground.

She said the community has round-the-clock security and is gated, so all outdoor activities can be carried out without worries.

Datin Jarina, secretary of the residents association, added that the directors of the residents association are replaced every two years, and new projects are added to the leisure park every year, such as community sheds and fish ponds have also been built.
“All residents will take turns taking care of and beautifying the recreational park and pay related maintenance costs.”

She pointed out that the area has a low population density and is composed of 156 households of multi-ethnic residents, including 120 Chinese, 21 Indians and 15 Malays.
“Residents enjoy living close to nature very much. For example, the flowers, plants and trees in the park are all planted by senior residents.”

The residential area also received a donation of a fountain pool worth RM36,000 from Datuk Ong Siu Ming, chief business development director of Nirvana Group, to add greenery and new check-in attractions to the residential area.
In order to express its gratitude, the Ridgewood Residents Association also engraved the name of sponsor Wang Zhaoming on the outside of the fountain pool and promised to continue to keep the local environment clean and avoid causing damage or pollution to the residential area.
