This China Culture Festival is jointly sponsored by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of China, the Ministry of Culture of Russia and the Chinese Embassy in Russia. The special performance is performed by the National Symphony Orchestra of the China Opera and Dance Drama Theatre. Chinese Ambassador to Russia Zhang Hanhui and Russian Deputy Minister of Culture Malyshev delivered speeches before the performance. Last month, President Xi Jinping and President Putin met during the third “Belt and Road” Summit Forum and reached a new important consensus on promoting comprehensive strategic coordination and pragmatic cooperation between China and Russia, and announced that the China-Russia Cultural Year will be held in 2024-2025. . That night, the theater with a capacity of 1,000 people was packed with seats, and friends from all walks of life in China and Russia gathered together to enjoy the wonderful performances of Chinese artists. The works performed in this concert reflect the customs, history, culture and national features of different regions in China, and demonstrate the diversity and development achievements of Chinese traditional music. The concert kicked off the entire performance with the national orchestra “Celebration Overture”; “Image of Loulan” used two oriental instruments, the pipa and the liuqin, to outline the mystery and charm of the Loulan Kingdom in the ancient Western Regions; “Hymn of the Grassland” used the deepness of the cello and the guzheng The beautiful tone of “Jasmine” depicts the vast grasslands and herdsmen’s life in northern China; “Jasmine” depicts the elegant charm of Jiangnan in China with rich melodies; “The Harmony of Colors” shows the musical characteristics of different ethnic groups in China; “A Hundred Birds Worship the Phoenix” It expresses people’s praise and love for nature with rich imagination; the national orchestral music “Hearing the Tao” is based on the original dance drama “Confucius” by the China Opera and Dance Drama Theatre, showing Confucius’s pursuit of truth and exploration of great harmony.
