From January to October this year, my country’s export sales of flowers and seedlings totaled 1.5 metric tons, with an output value of 170 million US dollars. Compared with the same period before the epidemic, which saw 21,000 metric tons of export sales and an output value of 180 million yuan, there was not much difference.

Hu Zhongyi also pointed out that some of the new varieties on display this time were not available in the past and are heat-resistant, cold-resistant or more colorful. These selected new varieties can be said to be the most advanced and innovative in the world. In the past two years, new varieties have been launched, and Japan has quickly placed orders. This year, more than a dozen buyers from Japan and the Netherlands have also participated. Starting from 2021, the Agri-Food and Food Administration has assisted the Taiwan Flower Development Association in organizing flower variety promotion meetings to build a communication platform for breeders, farmers, and seedling operators.

Seedling dealer Wu Mulin introduced new varieties of rose lilies to The Epoch Times.
