On November 7, the Heilongjiang Provincial News Front’s 24th Journalists’ Day Celebration and Commendation Conference and the “Good Journalists Tell Good Stories” Tour Report were held in Harbin.

The conference commended the advanced collectives, advanced individuals and outstanding works of the province’s “New Year Goes to the Grassroots” activities in 2023, as well as the winners of the “Good Journalists Tell Good Stories” speech contest; Representatives of the winners of the Heilongjiang Provincial Journalism Award, the top ten journalists of the 14th Heilongjiang Province, and representatives of journalists who have been engaged in news gathering and editing business for more than 30 years issued certificates; to the 2023 “China Journalist Assistance Project” Heilongjiang Province Representatives of the recipients distributed the assistance funds; Liu Xiaoyan, deputy general manager of the Harbin Branch of the People’s Insurance Company of China, on behalf of the company, issued the “Journalist Care Protection Plan Exclusive Insurance Card” to the representatives of the winners of the 33rd China News Awards in our province. More than 100 journalists from Zhihe and Harbin city news units attended the meeting.

Since the beginning of the year, the province’s news front has focused on studying, publicizing and implementing Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, the spirit of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, and the important speech delivered by General Secretary Xi Jinping when he inspected our province and presided over a symposium on promoting the comprehensive revitalization of Northeast China in the new era. The theme of the spirit of important instructions conscientiously fulfills the fundamental function of serving the overall economic and social development, focuses on the central work of the provincial party committee and the provincial government, launches a series of inspiring news works, tells the story of Longjiang with heart and emotion, and spreads the voice of Longjiang well . Especially during the province’s flood relief reporting work this summer, journalists braved the wind and rain and walked against the current, capturing warm and touching moments with their cameras and conveying the power of unity in words, which was praised by the local party committee, government and people. Practice has proved that our province’s news team is a strong team with excellent quality and capable of winning battles.

The meeting hopes that the majority of journalists will continue to enhance their sense of pride and mission, keep in mind General Secretary Xi Jinping’s ardent expectations and entrustments to journalists, inherit fine traditions, perform sacred duties, and earnestly do a good job in daily life and critical moments. Being able to rush forward and being brave at critical moments will provide strong public opinion support for promoting the comprehensive revitalization and all-round revitalization of Longjiang.
