Through the joint construction of a scientific and technological innovation cooperation network, Chongqing universities, scientific research institutes and enterprises have carried out exchanges and interactions with many overseas scientific research institutions in various forms, with a total of more than 10,000 scientific and technological talent exchanges. Chongqing Technology and Business University, Yuanda Environmental Protection Company, etc. hosted 11 technical training courses for developing countries, recruiting more than 300 students from more than 40 countries that jointly build the “Belt and Road”.

On this basis, Chongqing continues to deepen cooperation in scientific and technological projects and further promotes international joint research and development. Chongqing University, Southwest University, Chongqing Institute of Green and Intelligent Technology of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, etc., have implemented more than 80 scientific and technological cooperation projects with foreign research institutions around key areas such as intelligent technology, life and health, and advanced manufacturing, with a total investment of more than 500 million yuan. To build a platform system for foreign scientific and technological innovation cooperation, Chongqing has laid out the construction of one “Belt and Road” joint laboratory, 19 national-level international scientific and technological cooperation bases, and about 40 other international scientific and technological cooperation platforms. In addition, the University of Leuven in Belgium, the National University of Singapore and the Royal Institute of Technology in Thailand have also been introduced to jointly build R&D institutions in Chongqing.

Create an open highland for scientific and technological innovation

Not long ago, Peking University Chongqing Big Data Research Institute released five original scientific and technological achievements, including the Internet of Things computing platform and the “Smart City Chain” industrial chain intelligent analysis platform, demonstrating the research results and implementation of the institute in digital technology. The Chongqing Innovation Center of Beijing Institute of Technology focuses on the three major areas of intelligent connected new energy vehicles, digital industry and intelligent manufacturing to help automakers deeply understand the market, accurately design products, accurately locate customers, and serve manufacturers to “build good cars and sell good cars.”
