At the meeting, all member units participating in the meeting read out a joint declaration, jointly stating that they will work together to maintain the security and stability of the “Hualong One” equipment industry chain supply chain with the vision of enhancing core competitiveness and industrial chain resilience, and promote the “Hualong One” equipment industry chain supply chain security and stability. “Develop modern industrial chains and jointly create world-leading modern industrial clusters.
It is reported that the joint R&D center was established in 2009 with more than 50 member units at the beginning. It aims to build a close collaborative platform and gradually enhance the independent innovation capabilities of nuclear power equipment based on the construction of batch nuclear power projects.
Up to now, the number of member units has increased to 139. There are more than 5,400 upstream and downstream enterprises in the industrial chain involved in the construction of the “Hualong One” project. More than 300 joint R&D agreements have been signed and more than 10,000 joint R&D technical documents have been reviewed. , jointly conducted more than 10,000 equipment identifications and assessments; broke through more than 400 key core technologies; obtained more than 300 invention patents in total, more than 30 provincial, ministerial or industry awards, and achieved independent certification of core technologies for more than 1,000 sets of high-end nuclear power equipment. Control has effectively improved the resilience and safety of the nuclear power equipment industry chain.

More than 400 key equipment, including main equipment, have been localized, establishing an internationally advanced independent nuclear power standard system and enhancing the resilience and strength of China’s nuclear power industry chain.

The nuclear power industry chain and supply chain continue to climb to the high end of the value chain, achieve high-level self-reliance and self-reliance in nuclear power technology, and jointly create a modern industrial cluster with core competitiveness and potential international competitiveness.
“Hualong One” is my country’s third-generation nuclear power technology with independent intellectual property rights, which meets my country’s nuclear safety regulations and standards and the safety requirements of the International Atomic Energy Agency. CGN’s “Hualong One” technology successfully passed the European Utility Requirements compliance assessment on October 20, 2020, and obtained the EUR certification certificate; it passed the British General Design (GDA) on February 7, 2022 Review, obtain Design Approval Confirmation (DAC) and Statement of Design Acceptability (SoDA) certificates.
Unit 3 of the CGN Guangxi Fangchenggang Nuclear Power Station, the first “Hualong One” nuclear power unit in western my country, was put into operation on March 25, 2023. In addition, CGN has a total of 9 “Hualong One” nuclear power units under construction at the same time, distributed in Fangchenggang, Guangxi, Huizhou and Lufeng, Guangdong, Cangnan, Zhejiang, Ningde, Fujian and other places. It has formed a pattern of multiple bases and multiple units under construction at the same time. “Hualong One” “No.” batch construction is steadily advancing. Among them, Unit 4 of Guangxi Fangchenggang Nuclear Power Plant just successfully completed the thermal function test on November 12 and is expected to be put into high-quality production in the first half of next year. It is reported that Units 1 and 2 of the first phase expansion project of the Shandong Shidaowan Nuclear Power Plant of Huaneng Group, in which CGN fully participates in project construction, will also use CGN’s “Hualong One” technology.
